Introduction

This 3-day Fushun itinerary is perfect for those who want to experience a side of China that's free from the usual tourist buzz. It's a trip that will take you away from the overly congested streets of Beijing, away from the pushy vendors of tourist traps, and into a city that has still retained much of its historical charm and beauty. We've carefully planned this itinerary for you to explore Fushun's rich cultural heritage, awe-inspiring landscapes and compelling history.

Day 1 - Diving Deep Into Fushun's Cultural Heritage

Fushun is a city steeped in history. We'll be starting off our journey in the Gao'ershan Reverence Pavilion – an architectural wonder that gives you a peek into the rich history of the (not-so) ancient city. Here, you'll get to observe stunning stone carvings and elaborate statues while learning about the cultural significance of various theologies in Fushun. After this immersive experience, we'll enjoy some traditional Chinese food at one of the local hotspots. Finally, we'll wrap up the day with a relaxing stroll through the Peace Park, a haven of tranquility amidst the bustling city vibes.

Day 2 - Nurture Nature At Its Best

Day two offers a mix of nature and enlightenment. After breakfast, we'll head to the edges of Fushun city towards the Lei Feng Memorial Hall - China's tribute to the legendary soldier Lei Feng. Learn about this iconic figure and his selfless spirit that continues to inspire millions of Chinese people. This visit is followed by a picnic lunch at the beautiful Songyang Mountain Forest Park, where we'll get to explore lush green woods while shaking off the city dust with a bout of fresh mountain air. The day wouldn't be complete without a walk in the sprawling Hot Spring Park with steaming, thermal waters beckoning you at sunset.

Day 3 - Taking It Slow In The City

The last day in Fushun is all about relaxing and taking in the slow pace of life here. We'll start by visiting the exquisite Xilutian Rotary Garden, where you can witness a myriad fusion of architecture and nature. Lunch would be at a famed food street, where we'll savor local specialities one last time. To wrap up our amazing tour, we'll visit the Fushun War Criminals Management Center Site, a potent reminder of Fushun's wartime past and how it has triumphed to become the city it now is.
