It's home to mystical temples nested in pure nature; the Suwa-Okusha Shrine is a must-visit. Our first day in Joetsu wraps up with an indulgent traditional Japanese multi-course dinner, known as 'kaiseki', at a cozy local restaurant.

Day two launches us into a tone of joie de vivre! We're starting with a visit to the Hokushin Memorial Museum, dedicated to Joetsu's native, Unno Shomin, a master of Japanese arts and crafts. Joetsu's coast is remarkable, with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, offering an unforgettable, serene experience. Our final destination in Joetsu is the beautiful Sadogashima Island.
