Introduction

This itinerary is a guide packed with the spiritual grandeur and historic magnificence of the sacred city of Medina. Medina, also known as The Radiant City, will spirit you away into a world filled with mosques steeped in rich Islamic history. In the span of three enriching days, you will be immersed in the culture, cuisine, bazaars, and of course, the deeply resonating spiritual ambiance of this city. Are you all set to witness and be part of the Islamic heritage and take home a memorable spiritual imprint, then keep reading!

Day 1 - Historical Dive & Devotion

We'll be dedicating our first day to the heart and soul of Medina, the exquisite Al-Masjid an-Nabawi also known as 'The Prophet's Mosque'. Not only a vital place of worship, this renowned mosque showcases unique architectural grandeur. Next, we'll explore the engaging Quba Mosque—the first mosque in Islamic history. You may want to partake in prayers here, as our Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) mentioned that 'Whoever purifies in his house then comes to Quba mosque and prays there, will have the reward like that of 'Umrah.' On our bucket list too is the historic Qiblatain Mosque, known for the significant event of the change in prayer direction. Wrapping up the day, we'll enjoy a quiet reflective moment at the serene Uhud Mountain—a witness to the famous Battle of Uhud.

Day 2 - Cultural Immersion & Shopping

For day two, we're donning our explorer's hats as we dive into the city's vibrant culture and charming streets. We begin with Al-Madina Museum, exhibiting an array of stunning artifacts that offer insights into Islamic history. Have your cameras ready because there’s a visual treat waiting for you at every corner! You are feeling hungry, aren't you? Let's take a culinary break and relish a sumptuous Arabic meal at a local restaurant. Now, let's venture into the hive of activity that the Al Qiblatayn dates market is, purchasing locally grown dates, a true taste of Medina. Ever wondered about the secret behind the captivating fragrance that wafts through the streets of Medina? It’s oud! Before day's end, we'll enter Taiba Commercial Center, famous for its myriad selections of oud and intricate jewelry – excellent mementoes to remember your trip by.

Day 3 - Nature’s Retreat & Fond Farewell

Our third day starts with an escapade into the natural beauty surrounding Medina. We'll drive to the beautiful Wahba Crater, where you'll find yourself flabbergasted with the grandeur of natural design. Did I mention that the sight of this crater appearing amidst the desert is simply breathtaking? The afternoon will find us at the stunning date palm-filled Al-Salam Park—a beautiful spot for lunch and leisure. As the sunsets, let's say our goodbyes to this spiritual city while drinking a cup of Arabic coffee and munching on our purchases from the date market! Trust me, it is indeed a sweet ending to the journey!
