Remember, North Korea is a different kind of beast; you might need a little patience and complete respect for their customs and rules.

Day 1 - Entry into the Enigma

Border crossing from Dandong, China! Here we begin by crossing the Yalu River, bridging China and North Korea. Did you know this is one of the only places foreigners can easily gain entry into North Korea? Upon arrival in Sinŭiju, we're met by a local guide who takes us straight to our first stop, the Revolutionary Site Museum, showcasing impressive relics and telling tales of the country's hard-fought independence. Once we've absorbed our dose of history, it's all aboard the rickshaw taxi to the Ponbu Kindergarten, an experience that gives us a glimpse into the country's education system. The night then wraps up with a tantalizing Korean BBQ dinner at a local joint. So, ready for the North Korean BBQ challenge? We bet you the flavors will have your taste buds dancing the Gangnam style!

Day 2 - Immerse in the Culture

Today, we're immersing ourselves into Sinŭiju's exquisite culture. Our first stop is the vibrant and energetic Sinamri Cooperative Farm. Here, we wrap up our sleeves and go knee-deep in the fields alongside the local farmers. It's farming 101 for us city folks! Next, we head to the Sinŭiju Cosmetics Factory, one of North Korea's most fascinating exports. Just like Alice in her Wonderland, we explore the intriguing world of North Korean beauty products. We then cap off the day with a walking tour around Central Square. The city comes alive at dusk with bustling sidewalk cafes, children gleefully playing, and locals going about their everyday life. It's a slice of North Korean life of the most authentic kind, trust us!

Day 3 - Farewell Sinŭiju

How about starting our final day with a breathtaking view of the city from the Yongmasan Mountain? Let's step up the hiking game, shall we? After conquering Yongmasan, we finally pay a visit to the iconic Sinŭiju Art Factory. A place which hums with creativity and talent, this treasure trove is where you'll witness some of the most amazing music and dance performances you've ever seen. From the tiny tots to the elderly; every Sinŭiju resident has got rhythm in their hearts and music in their souls! As evening falls, we say goodbye to Sinŭiju as we return to our departure point, crossing the Yalu River back into China, ending this once in a lifetime journey.
