Introduction

Rwanda, the nation affectionately known as the 'Land of a Thousand Hills', offers incredible natural beauty and stirring experiences. Our week-long adventure takes you through its unforgettable wildlife, historic museums and gorgeous landscapes. Be prepared to be mesmerized by some of the Earth's greatest marvels: gorillas, chimpanzees, and stunning biodiversity at every turn.

Day 1 - Touch Down in Kigali

The moment your feet touch Rwanda's soil, you're in for a treat. Welcome to Kigali, a city bubbling with life and rich history. We start the journey with a tour through the city's cultural highlights and a trip to Kigali Genocide Memorial – a powerful reminder of the country's past. Close the day by sampling the city's vibrant cuisine, and rest in a luxurious hotel to gather strength for the forthcoming adventure.

Day 2 - Trekking to the Wild Gorillas

The day starts with a journey north, to the Volcanoes National Park, the quintessential spot for gorilla trekking. You'll definitely remember the first time you spot a silverback Gorilla. It's one of those 'I can't believe I'm actually here' sort of moments. Trek through lush green landscapes, capture stunning photographs and end the day with star-gazing and storytelling by the campfire.

Day 3 - Continuation of Gorilla Trekking

Day 3, we take you deeper into gorilla territory. Get up close and personal with the majestic beasts, observe their behavior, and enjoy the thrill of gorilla trekking. Take the opportunity to learn about conservation efforts in the region. After an exhilarating day, return to your comfortable accommodation.

Day 4 - Lake Kivu Sojourn

Wake up to a calm morning and get ready to venture towards the serene Lake Kivu, the largest lake in Rwanda. Spend your day indulging in watersports, or sit back and unwind with a good book. As dusk falls, prepare for a delicious lakeside barbecue.

Day 5 - Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest

Bid goodbye to Lake Kivu and head south to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Our curiosity brings us to the wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat. Witness their fascinating behaviors and marvel at the biodiversity of this ancient rainforest.

Day 6 - Canopy Walk & Bird Watching

Enjoy an exciting canopy walk among the towering trees of Nyungwe Forest. Experience a bird's eye view of the forest and its inhabitants. Keep your binoculars handy, for this place is a paradise for bird watchers.

Day 7 - Back to Kigali

As we drive back to Kigali, we reminisce on the week spent in the 'Land of a Thousand Hills'. Breathe in the city's atmosphere and pick up a few souvenirs to remember Rwanda by. The trip ends with a farewell dinner and heartfelt goodbyes.
