Day 1 - Unveil the Capital, Tunis

Welcome to Tunisia! After touching down at the Tunis-Carthage International Airport, start the exploration in the bustling capital. Begin with the Bardo Museum, that houses a magnificent collection of Roman mosaics. Having a boxful of history, wouldn't you love to discover some stories spun in stones? After lunch, let's stroll through the winding streets of the Medina of Tunis. Lively shops selling colourful spices, exquisite carpets, and traditional crafts will welcome you. Soak in the atmosphere but don't spend it all, we have a whole week ahead!

Day 2 - To Ancient Lands of Carthage and Sidi Bou Said

Today, we're off to the renowned ancient city of Carthage. Isn't it intriguing to explore the land where legendary queen Dido once ruled, a place rich with Phoenician, Roman and Byzantine history? The ruins of Antonine Baths will leave you spellbound! After lunch, let's head to the exquisite blue and white village of Sidi Bou Said. Can you imagine painting your house in shades of the Mediterranean Sea? End your day with an unforgettable sunset and a relaxing mint tea.

Day 3 - Across the Desert to Matmata and Douz

Starting early in Sidi Bou Said, we journey into the desert to Matmata. Feel the excitement of stepping onto the 'Star Wars' set, tucked inside the cavernous homes of Matmata. The otherworldly landscape is sure to charm you! Afterwards, we’re driving to Douz, often referred to as the 'gateway to the Sahara'. Ever heard of an oasis at the edge of a vast desert? A camel ride during sunset might be your calling of the day.

Day 4 - Ksar Ghilane and Tataouine

Today, we’ll head deeper into the Sahara to visit Ksar Ghilane, one of Tunisia's most remote and picturesque oasis. It's quite a sight, isn't it? After a refreshing dip in the warm spring water, we proceed to Tataouine. Known for its unique spotted white and grey Ksour (fortified granaries), it’s like stepping into a fairytale setting.

Day 5 - Remnants of Roman Jerba

Off to the island of Djerba today where you'll witness the olive groves and Roman architecture seam effortlessly with modern beach resorts. This fusion of old and new is fascinating, don't you think? Visit the beautiful synagogue of El Ghriba, believed to be one of the oldest in the world and in the afternoon, unwind on a restful beach.

Day 6 - El Jem and Monastir

Get your fill of history today at the grand Roman amphitheater in El Jem, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Ever stood in a colosseum without being in Rome? From El Jem, we head to Monastir. Here, we visit the imposing Ribat and Mausoleum of Habib Bourguiba. Just imagine the tales these time-toughened walls would tell!

Day 7 - Back to Tunis

As we return to Tunis, spend your day sauntering through the streets, soaking up the last bits of Tunisian aura. Be sure to pick some souvenirs and try some local delicacies like Tastira for lunch.
