Introduction

In a bustling town filled with music, culture and culinary delights, our itinerary will guide you through each day to ensure you get the most out of your stay. Dive into the local cuisine, browse traditional markets, and soak in its rich history.

Day 1 - Acuña's Allure

Kick start your first day in Ciudad Acuña by making your way to Amistad Dam, a true engineering marvel straddling the Rio Grande. Take breathtaking photographs of mesmerizing city views from this vantage point. From there, we'll head to the cultural heart of the city, the Ma Crosby’s restaurant, famous for its tacos al pastor. Ever wonder why a fish can't be homesick? Because there's plenty of schools. Make sure you check out the local mariachi school where you'll have the chance to learn about this unique musical tradition. End your day by strolling around the vibrant Plaza Benjamín Canales, where you may scoop up a wonderful trinket or two!

Day 2 - To Market, To Eat!

Just as a baker kneads dough, today, we dive in and get our hands suitably dirty! Our second day starts at the bustling Ciudad Acuña Market, where you’ll have the chance to taste local produce, engage with friendly sellers, and maybe haggle a little too. So ask yourself, are you up for the challenge? Engage in the local way of life, before heading for lunch at the acclaimed Taco’s Raúl, renowned for its delectable beef barbacoa. As the sun sets, we’ll visit the fascinating architectural site, Parroquia Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, a prominent church, makes a great backdrop for a late evening photo. End the night savoring delicious street food and enjoying live music in the plaza.

Day 3 - A Walk Through History

On the final day, we're on a quest to uncover Acuña’s past. Much like a detective, we embark on our adventure first by visiting the captivating Museo de la Revolución, a veritable archive of the city’s historical heritage. From there, continue your journey to the stately Monumento a Benjamín Canales, a tribute to a revolutionary hero. Ever wondered if echoes get lonely? Probably not, but we can always ask when we visit the Cueva del Fantasma, a cave system rich in local mythology. To wrap up your 3-day exploration, join a lively Zumba class in the evening at the Central Park and shake it out with locals to the rhythm of Latin music!
