Uruapan National Park is on our agenda after touching down at Uruapan International Airport. Think about this: a lush expanse of emerald greenery stretched across 1,000 acres right in the heart of the city. Doesn’t that sound like a fantastic way to kickstart your journey? After strolling through the park, we'll swing by ‘La Huatápera’ Ethnobotanical Garden, where we’ll find an array of plants and herbs used in traditional local medicine. Getting to know Mexican culture, especially the Purépecha, will undeniably enrich your travel experience, wouldn’t you agree? Dinner awaits at a local ‘Fonda’. Hope you had a good rest because you’re going to need that energy for day two! Our day kicks off with a visit to the Tingambato Archaeological Zone. From ancient to artisanal, our next stop is the Antonio Mendoza Workshop, renowned for its handmade masks, figurines, and the coveted ‘maque’ lacquerware. Think of the souvenir possibilities? Afterwards, it's time for a tasteful exploration of Uruapan’s food market, ‘Mercado de Antojitos’. Here, you can relish in authentic Mexican dishes like enchiladas, pozole, and guacamole, personally whipped up by talented local cooks. Pretty enticing, right?

Here comes the grand finale: we're heading to visit the breathtaking Barranca del Cupatitzio National Park where the river Cupatitzio emerges and forms a series of waterfalls and ponds so picturesque it’ll seem unreal.
